Vintage For The Future: A Norma Kamali Retrospective

February 2018

When What Goes Around Comes Around was fortunate enough to acquire over 70 pieces from Norma Kamali’s personal archive, we decided to pay tribute to the iconic fashion designer by hosting a retrospective in our SoHo location to showcase her archive collection.

The key objectives of this initiative were to drive brand awareness for WGACA, generate sales around the Norma Kamali archive collection, engage the NY community and build brand conversation around NYFW.

The retrospective launched on February 13, 2018, and the event was attended by Norma Kamali, and included guests of NK, key editors, celebrities (Naomi Campbell!), influencers, stylists, industry faces and our VIP clients.

We secured press on the partnership in top outlets including, The New York Times, Vogue.com, Elle.com, Forbes, com, and more.

In the lead-up to, and during the event, the retrospective was supported by organic Instagram posts and stories dedicated to NK utilizing unique video interview content, editorial imagery shot by our in-house creative team, and content captured on the night of the event. An email blast was sent out to debut the collection on our website, and a blog post was published to recap the event
